Uniting Plainview Through Memorable Community Events
Frontier Day started in the 1980s. To honor Plainview’s centennial, the Plainview Beautification Committee brought Frontier Day back in 2007, and the celebration continued annually until 2015.
In September 2023, the Plainview AR Community Events (PACE) proudly brought Frontier Day back to life.
Frontier Day is a special occasion for the town to unite and honor the heritage and traditions of the past. This lively festival showcases the town’s rich history with mobile cafes, shopping vendors, a parade, live entertainment, delicious food, exciting games, and activities for the entire family to enjoy.
We are thrilled to announce that Frontier Day will be back on October 25, 2025, with some exciting updates. One of the biggest changes Frontier Day is not only the new date but also the extended hours for even more fun and activities.
To give everyone more time to enjoy the festivities, we’re extending the event hours. The day begins with our annual parade, followed by shopping from 10 AM to 5 PM. The excitement continues with a live concert by Hill Street Blues from 6 PM to 8 PM—an event you definitely won’t want to miss!
Plus, for the very first time, we’re introducing a Starlight Stampede Glow Run 5k on the evening before—Friday, October 24, 2025—to kick off the weekend with a bang!
So, stick around, read our Blog, and follow us on Facebook for more exciting announcements coming your way on the 2025 Frontier Day festivities.

CARS, CHOPPERS & CROPS SHOW!

Get ready, Plainview! Plainview Free Will Baptist Church is bringing back the ultimate showcase of wheels at Cars, Crops & Choppers on Saturday, October 25th at Frontier Town.
All makes, models, and years are welcome—classics, muscle, hot rods, trucks, motorcycles… if it shines, growls, or turns heads, we want it here!
Car Show Registration

This arts and crafts fundraiser is all about creativity, community, and compassion. Each participating craft will be displayed with its own donation jar, and festival-goers will “vote” for their favorite pieces by placing donations in the jars. The craft that collects the most donations wins a prize—and best of all, all proceeds benefit a local pet rescue.
