Plainview is about to glow! Frontier Days 2025 kicks off on Friday, October 24, and the City of Plainview is setting the stage for a night full of community, music, and fun.
The City will be giving away glow sticks to help light up downtown, while local favorite Joey Richardson takes the stage for an evening of live country and Christian music.
Joey, a proud Arkansan from Belleville and founder of Meet Me on the Mountain Ministries, brings heartfelt songs and hometown charm you won’t want to miss. (Follow him on Facebook to check out his music and ministry.)
Adding to the night, the Plainview Masonic Lodge will be hosting a fundraiser chili dinner from 4 PM to 7 PM. For just $6 a bowl, you can grab a warm meal while helping support the lodge’s work in our community.
Then, as the sun goes down, it’s time to lace up your sneakers and shine in the Starlight Stampede Glow Run! Hosted in partnership with River Valley Runners, the Kids Fun Run begins at 6:30 PM, followed by the 5K Run and Walk at 7 PM. The course will wind through downtown Plainview, up Davison Street, and back again—an unforgettable nighttime experience. Come dressed in your brightest neon, glow sticks, or LED gear to help light up the streets.
Friday night is just the beginning—because Frontier Days continues all day Saturday, October 25, from sun-up to sun-down. But one thing is for sure: the celebration starts with a glow!
